Fragrance Guide

Fragrance, considered for the home.

A natural-leaning approach to home fragrance, developed around atmosphere, balance, and performance.

Scent Philosophy

Atmosphere, not excess.

A good home fragrance should change the feeling of a room without becoming the room. It should feel present, balanced, and easy to live with.

Haus Naturals develops fragrance around the atmosphere of the home: softer evenings, freshly reset spaces, warm living rooms, quiet bedrooms, and the small routines that shape everyday life.

The aim is simple: refined fragrance with enough presence to perform, and enough restraint to belong naturally in the home.

How We Compose

Natural-leaning fragrance, thoughtfully composed.

We do not treat “natural” and “synthetic” as opposites. Essential oils and botanical extracts can bring character and familiarity, while carefully selected fragrance materials can support stability, diffusion, balance, and consistency.

What matters is the finished experience: a fragrance that feels considered, performs properly in its intended format, and is appropriate for everyday home use.

Our standard

Fragrance should feel refined, perform well, and sit comfortably within the rhythm of the home.

Atmosphere

Start with how you want the room to feel.

Scent is most useful when it has a purpose. Think first about the room, the time of day, and the atmosphere you want to create.

Calm

Soft, grounding profiles for bedrooms, evening routines, and slower moments.

Fresh

Green, clean, or lightly aromatic profiles for bathrooms, kitchens, and reset routines.

Warm

Woods, ambered notes, and gentle spice for living rooms and evening atmosphere.

Bright

Citrus, herbal, and lifted profiles for mornings, entryways, and active spaces.

Soft Floral

Restrained floral profiles for bedrooms, dressing areas, and quiet personal spaces.

Grounded Woods

Dry woods and green notes for a composed, architectural feeling in the home.

Current Fragrance Direction

Meet CALM.

Our first home-fragrance direction is built around Lavender French Juniper: a soft, green, woody interpretation of lavender designed for a quieter atmosphere.

Future directions are in development

Haus Naturals is not building a catalogue of scent for the sake of variety. New fragrance directions will be introduced only when the profile, performance, and role in the home are clear.

For now, CALM is the focus.

The principle

Fewer scents · Clearer purpose · Better execution

Choose by Room

Start with the space.

Different rooms benefit from different fragrance behaviours. Use the room itself as the starting point.

Format Guide

One fragrance can behave differently in every format.

The delivery system changes how quickly scent appears, how continuously it is present, and how it moves through the room.

01

Candle

Best for atmosphere, warmth, and intentional use. The fragrance develops as the wax pool forms and the candle reaches its intended burn state.

Best for: living rooms · bedrooms · evening routines

02

Reed Diffuser

Best for a continuous background presence. Diffusion is slower and more consistent, making it well suited to spaces you want gently fragranced throughout the day.

Best for: entryways · bathrooms · bedrooms

03

Linen & Room Mist

Best for an immediate reset. A mist gives you control over when and where fragrance appears, from the room itself to suitable household fabrics.

Best for: quick resets · linens · before guests

Performance

Fragrance should perform, not shout.

Natural-leaning does not mean accepting weak fragrance. Performance is part of the brief.

We evaluate each format for the way it actually delivers scent: cold and hot throw for candles, diffusion and longevity for reeds, and immediate presence for mists.

  • Choose the format based on the room and how continuously you want fragrance present.
  • Allow candles to develop a proper melt pool before judging their full room presence.
  • Use reed diffusers for steady background scent rather than an immediate burst.
  • Use Linen & Room Mist when you want fragrance on demand.

Layering

Layer one fragrance across the home.

The simplest form of layering is continuity: the same fragrance expressed through different formats and used at different moments.

01 · Begin

Use a mist for an immediate room or linen reset.

02 · Sustain

Use a reed diffuser for a quieter, continuous background presence.

03 · Set the mood

Use a candle when you want warmth, light, and fragrance together.

04 · Keep it coherent

Stay within one fragrance direction rather than filling the room with competing scents.

The Haus Naturals Approach

Clean. Calm. Considered.

Home fragrance is part of the same Haus Naturals idea as home care: products should work properly, feel refined, and support the atmosphere of the home.

We favour natural-leaning profiles and thoughtful ingredient selection, but we do not use “natural” as a shortcut for quality. Performance, stability, balance, and suitability for the intended use all matter.

The result should feel simple when you use it, even when the work behind it is not.

FAQ

Fragrance Guide FAQ

Are Haus Naturals fragrances 100% natural?

Haus Naturals takes a natural-leaning approach rather than using “100% natural” as the standard. Our fragrances may combine essential oils, botanical extracts, and carefully selected fragrance materials to balance scent character, performance, and stability.

Do Haus Naturals fragrances use essential oils?

Essential oils may be used where they contribute meaningfully to the fragrance profile. They are one part of fragrance composition, not the only measure of quality.

Do you use synthetic fragrance materials?

Selected fragrance materials may be used where they improve stability, diffusion, consistency, or the overall scent profile. We assess the finished formula and intended use rather than treating “natural” and “synthetic” as simple opposites.

What standards guide fragrance development?

Haus Naturals fragrance development is intended to follow applicable IFRA standards for each product format and use level, alongside our own requirements for performance and overall product experience.

Why can the same scent smell different in a candle, diffuser, and mist?

Each format uses a different base and delivery system. Heat changes how a candle releases fragrance, reeds diffuse gradually over time, and a mist creates a more immediate impression. The fragrance identity can remain the same while the expression changes.

How strong should Haus Naturals fragrance be?

Noticeable enough to shape the room, refined enough not to dominate it. We do not position weak performance as a benefit of natural-leaning fragrance.

What is the current Haus Naturals fragrance direction?

CALM is the current focus, built around Lavender French Juniper and planned across candle, reed diffuser, and Linen & Room Mist formats.

Can I layer Haus Naturals fragrance?

Yes. The simplest approach is to use the same fragrance across different formats: a mist for immediate presence, a diffuser for continuity, and a candle when you want fragrance and atmosphere together.
